Most women love to fantasize about the day they get to walk down the aisle. Whether their future husband or wife is waiting at the other end, the dream to take that stride is one they can't wait to come true.
But what if you couldn't walk down the aisle? Would it make your dream less beautiful than you initially imagined? Not for one bride, Jaquie, who regularly uses a wheelchair.
Jaquie isn't bound to her wheelchair full time, but she was born with unique physical conditions that make everyday activities difficult, frustrating, and tiring. A wedding day spent in her wheelchair seemed to be the logical assumption, but Jaquie was determined for that not to be the case.
The bride-to-be worked diligently with a physical therapist and a personal trainer in order to defy the odds and walk down the aisle on her big day. The most amazing part of her progress isn't so much that she walked down the aisle, but that she got to experience her first dance with her husband, Andy, on her own two feet.
